Snow in the Desert

It's rare, but once in a purple moon, when the stars are aligned just right and all the forces of nature come to work...we get snow in Tucson!

If that cactus could, it'd be shivering.

Granted, this is a wet snow and only lasted an hour, but it still counts. Proof that there is this mysterious thing called "winter" here in the desert. Of course it'll be back to 70 degrees next week.

  1. Holy cow -- great shots. I had no idea! We have a few towns in San Diego in the upper elevations that get some serious snow every now and then. Down here on the coast, I get frost.

    1. Thanks! Haha, we get frost too. In fact, had some frosty nights back in December. But when it snows here, it's friggin' amazing.
